"Here Information technology Goes Once more" is a song past American rock ring OK Go, the fifth single released from their second studio album, Oh No (2005). It was the band's simply single to chart on the United states of america Billboard Hot 100 until "I Won't Let You Down" in November 2014 and peaked at number 36 on the UK Singles Chart, giving the ring their 2d UK summit-40 hit. The music video, featuring the band dancing on treadmills, became a staple on YouTube, at one time being 1 of their nigh watched videos with over 53 million views.

The single'due south B-side, "The Lovecats", is a cover of the song by the Cure and was previously included on the band'south Do What You lot Want EP and the single "A Million Means". An alternating version was nicknamed "UK Surf".

Composition and recording [edit]

Written by Damian Kulash Jr., the 3-minute "Here It Goes Again" is set up in common fourth dimension at a "Moderately fast rock" tempo of 144 beats per minute. Recorded at Gula Studion in Malmö, Sweden, it was mixed at The Hamlet Recorder in Los Angeles by Dave Sardy, and finally mastered past Robert Vosgien at Capitol Mastering, also in Los Angeles.[two]

Commercial performance [edit]

On the American Billboard Hot 100 chart, result dated September 16, 2006, "Hither It Goes Again" debuted at number 87,[3] and by the next calendar week it rose to its peak into the top twoscore at 38.[4] The rail lasted a total of 20 weeks.[5] Additionally, it reached into the summit 40 onto the Popular 100 at number 34,[half-dozen] besides as number 17 on the Adult Top 40[7] and Alternative Songs charts.[8] "Here It Goes Again" was too a Top 40 striking in other countries. The music video of the vocal is an elaborate performance of the ring dancing on eight treadmills, arranged in two rows of four and in alternating opposite directions, in a single continuous take. Choreographed and co-directed by the ring and lead vocaliser Damian Kulash'due south sister Trish Sie, it took a full of seventeen attempts to complete the video.[12] As in the band's video for "A Meg Ways", Tim Nordwind lip-syncs the atomic number 82 vocals instead of Damian Kulash, following the format from the dance choreographed for the song "C-C-C-Cinnamon Lips", which Tim sings. Surf" or the "Great britain Surf Mix", was released on iTunes in the UK the same solar day equally the single. According to MTV Games's Paul McGooyer, the video game Rock Band helped to spur further interest in the band.[24] The E3 2016 trailer for Lego Dimensions features the song.[25] Parodies of the video have appeared on The Simpsons, The Fairly OddParents, Foster's Dwelling house for Imaginary Friends, and Kuu Kuu Harajuku (created by Gwen Stefani).[26]
